Wrestling player Divya Bharti of village Bhanpuri told that she is playing wrestling since 2014. Even today she is representing in this game. She got inspiration for this game from her elder sister who was playing this game from the beginning. She played wrestling for the first time in class 10th. She performed well in the game organized in school games. Earlier the coach from Dhamtari used to come to the village for practice, later she started practicing in Dhamtari itself. She used to practice continuously from 4 to 7 in the morning, similarly she used to practice again from 6 to 7.30 in the evening. After this she started participating in open games. Representing the state of Chhattisgarh, she has played 17 national level matches since 2014.
She told that she has also performed in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and other states. In this sport, she has also received the title of Chhattisgarh Sherni four times. She has also received three medals in Open Soil Dangal National. She has represented Chhattisgarh state eight times in the Senior National Wrestling Competition from 2017 to 2024. For this reason, she was also selected for Shaheed Pankaj Vikram Samman in 2023_24. Currently she lives in village Jhiriya. Her parents, husband and in-laws have also always supported her sport. Her coach and all the officials of Chhattisgarh State Wrestling Association have always encouraged her. Her husband Govind Sahu also inspires her to promote the sport, which is why she is getting this honor. She has thanked everyone.
Enthusiasm increased after winning gold medal in Para Judo sport: Rajni Joshi
Rajni Joshi told that in 2016 when Exact Foundation Divyang Residential Training Center for Divyang children opened in her village, she went there to study, then through the teachers there she came to know that Divyangs like us also play sports. For the first time she participated in the state level Para Judo game with the teachers, in which I got the gold medal in the first attempt itself. After that I was selected for the national competition held in Gurgaon, there too I got the gold medal, since then playing Judo became my passion. After that she participated in national competitions in many places, such as Hyderabad, Kanpur, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Rajasthan. The MA Previous student told that she has six medals at the national level. She expressed gratitude to those who helped her reach this position.
