Jammu, August 28 (HS). District Election Officer Poonch Vikas Kundal conducted an in-depth review of preparedness and security arrangements at hyper sensitive, sensitive and hyper sensitive polling stations in three constituencies of the district. The meeting was attended by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Surankot, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Mendhar, Deputy Superintendent of Police Headquarters and other key district officers. The primary focus of the meeting was to finalize adequate security measures and operational plans for these high-risk polling stations. The officers discussed the specific security requirements of each location, mitigating potential risks and establishing protocols to maintain law and order during the elections.
Additionally, the meeting finalised a comprehensive communication plan designed to facilitate effective coordination among all involved agencies. This plan will ensure timely dissemination of information, prompt response to any issues, and efficient management of resources during the election period.
The DEO emphasized the critical importance of careful preparation and inter-agency cooperation in maintaining the integrity and security of the electoral process. He called on all participants to remain vigilant and proactive to ensure a peaceful and successful electoral event in the district.
