Chandigarh, August 28 (HS). Protesting against the halt in the recruitment process due to the election code of conduct in Haryana, the youth of BJP's Yuva Morcha took to the streets of Chandigarh on Wednesday and protested against the Congress. The protesting youth were marching towards the residence of Leader of Opposition Bhupendra Singh Hooda in the Assembly, but the Chandigarh Police first used water cannon and lathicharged to stop the agitated youth. After this, a large number of youth were detained and released late in the evening.
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh had recently demanded to stop recruitment in Haryana, on which the Election Commission has taken action and has banned the release of results. The protesters alleged that there is anger among the youth of the state against the Congress's recruitment stop gang. The government wants to provide employment to the youth, but the Congress's recruitment stop gang is creating obstacles in this. Congress is playing with the future of the youth in the name of employment.
BJP Yuva Morcha state secretary Harish Gurjar said that the youth gathered in Sector-3 against the Congress's Bharti Roko Gang. From here, their program was to surround the residence of former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda, but the police stopped them on the way. When they tried to move forward, the police fired water cannons on them. Arrests of youth have also been made during the protest against the Bharti Roko Gang. He said that he has demanded from former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda that the ban on the results of recruitments should be lifted. He also warned the BJP that if recruitments are not done after the ban is lifted, then they will also protest against the BJP. Harish Gurjar said that the ban on the results of recruitments is a cause of resentment among the youth. The anger of the youth towards the opposition is continuously increasing, because the opposition is playing with the future of the youth and is creating obstacles in the recruitments.
