If a farmer does not have land in his name then he cannot avail the benefits of this scheme, even if he is farming on someone else's land. It is noteworthy that under the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, financial assistance of six thousand rupees is given annually to the farmers by the Central Government. This assistance is given in three installments of Rs 2,000 each.
