Jaipur, August 28 (HS). In the state cabinet meeting held in the Chief Minister's office on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, many important decisions were taken including employee welfare, farmers' welfare, strengthening of the power system, development of rail transport. Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel addressed the press conference and gave information about the decisions taken in the cabinet.
Amendment in Rajasthan Civil Services (Medical Attendance) Rules, 2013
Deputy Chief Minister Dr Premchand Bairwa said that in the interest of state employees, approval has been given to increase the maximum limit of their gratuity and death gratuity from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 25 lakh. He said that now male and female employees will get the option to include either of their parents or in-laws for medical facility in RGHS on the lines of CGHS, provided the parents or in-laws are dependent and reside with the male or female employee. In this regard, Rule 3(9) of Rajasthan Civil Services (Medical Care) Rules, 2013 will be amended while implementing the announcement of the budget year 2024-25.
Benefit of family pension at increased rate for 10 years on the lines of central personnel
Dr Bairwa said that if a worker dies while in service, the dependent will now be able to avail the benefit of family pension at an increased rate for 10 years, just like central government workers. For these provisions, the notification amending Rule 55 and 62 of Rajasthan Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 1996 will be effective from April 01, 2024. Taking another important decision, amendments to Rule 14A and Sub-rule 4 of 20 of Rajasthan District Court Clerical Class Establishment Rules, 1986 and Sub-rule 4 of Rule 18 and Rule 30 of Rajasthan Subordinate Court (Driver and Class IV Employee) Service Rules, 2017 have been approved.
Land allocation for Nathdwara-Deogarh-Madaria railway line gauge conversion
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel informed that in order to strengthen the rail transport system of the state and to develop industries like marble, granite and mining, the construction of a new railway line connecting Shrinathdwara with Mewar and Marwar is being expedited in collaboration with the central government. He informed that under Section 102 of the Rajasthan Land Revenue Act 1956, approval was given in the Cabinet meeting to allot a total of 42.1576 hectares of land of Rajsamand, Devgarh, Nathdwara and Amet subdivisions of Rajsamand district to the Railway Ministry for the Nathdwara-Devgarh-Madaria gauge conversion project.
11 KV feeder segregation work will be done at a cost of Rs 7896 crore
Patel said that in the cabinet meeting, approval was given to the implementation of 11 kV feeder separation of agricultural feeders under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS). Under this scheme, 7522 works of 11 kV feeder segregation will be done at a cost of about Rs 7,896 crore, for which approval has been received from REC Limited on April 1, 2024. He said that at the 33/11 kV substations where 11 kV feeder segregation work will be done, the work of installing new solar power plants, metering, billing and revenue collection has also been added to the feeder segregation.
Approval of land allotment for three thousand megawatt solar power projects
Patel informed that land allotment approvals were given for 4 solar power projects of 3000 MW under the provisions and conditions of Rajasthan Land Revenue (Land Allotment for Establishment of Power Generation Unit Based on Renewable Energy Sources) Rules, 2007, and the proposal to allot 50.42 hectares of land in village Barju of Pugal tehsil of Bikaner to Bikaner-3 Neemrana Transmission Limited for setting up 765/400/220 kV substation has been approved.
Land will be allotted to MSME Ministry for Technology Center
Patel said that the government is also working with commitment for the development of MSME enterprises in the state. In this sequence, the Central MSME Ministry has been given approval to allocate 12 acres of land free of cost in JDA's Dehmikalan Institutional Scheme for setting up a technology center in Jaipur. This will enable the youth to get training in advanced technology related to the MSME sector and will develop skills and efficiency in them.
