Rishikesh, 28 August (HS). NCC, NSS and Scout Guide organized a de-addiction rally under the guidance of Major Govind Singh Rawat, Principal of Shri Bharat Mandir Inter College Rishikesh. This rally started from the school and passed through Shanti Nagar, Bankhandi, Ganganagar etc. areas and made people aware of the ill effects of drug addiction.
At the start of the rally, Principal Major Govind Singh Rawat said that in the present times, keeping the youth away from drugs should be our priority. He said that creating a drug-free society is the responsibility of education and the duty of every citizen. Due to drug addiction, the youth not only leave their education but also get involved in anti-social activities. He appealed to the society to help in saving the youth from the harm of drugs and motivating them in the right direction.
Many dignitaries including Yamuna Prasad Tripathi, Jitendra Bisht, Shiv Prasad Bahuguna, Junior Wing NCC officers Vikas Negi, Dhananjay Ragadh, Bhagwati Joshi, Ranjan Anthwal, Sanjeev Kumar, Hari Singh, Pawan, Neelam Joshi, Shalini Kapoor, Sunita Singh, Nidhi Pandey and Shakuntala Arya were present on the occasion.
