If there is a shop in the house and there is no separate commercial connection, then the domestic connection will be converted into a commercial one. As per the domestic electricity rate, the rate is Rs 6 per unit for up to 300 units and Rs 6.5 per unit for more than this.
The fixed charge for commercial connection is Rs 330 per kilowatt and the electricity bill is Rs 7.50 per unit for up to 300 units, Rs 8.40 per unit for up to 1000 units and Rs 8.75 per unit for more than that.
