Bhopal, 27 August (HS). Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, BJP State President and MP Vishnudutt Sharma along with newly elected Rajya Sabha MP and Union Minister George Kurien reached Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday and received the certificate of Rajya Sabha MP from the Election Officer. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and BJP State President Vishnudutt Sharma congratulated and wished him and said that George Kurien will make a significant contribution in the development of Madhya Pradesh. Union Minister Mr. George Kurien expressed his gratitude to the people of Madhya Pradesh, BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on being elected as Rajya Sabha member from the state.
Kurien's election will strengthen the relations between Madhya Pradesh and Kerala: Dr. Mohan Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, while talking to the media, congratulated Kurien on being elected as a Rajya Sabha member and said that it is a matter of good fortune for us that he was elected as a Rajya Sabha member from the state. The decision taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National President JP Nadda to send Kurien to Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh will further strengthen the relations between Madhya Pradesh and Kerala. Adi Shankaracharya came from Kerala and meditated on the banks of Maa Narmada in Madhya Pradesh and awakened the spirit of Sanatan Dharma in the world. Madhya Pradesh will also benefit from Kurien's long political life and experience. The Madhya Pradesh government is standing with the victims of the natural disaster in Kerala and the government has given financial assistance of Rs 20 crore.
