Jaipur, 27 August (HS). The Jaipur centre of All India Radio organised the Independence Day Music Festival dedicated to the country's independence at Jawahar Kala Kendra on Tuesday. The programme was inaugurated by Padma Shri Ustad Moinuddin Khan, Padma Shri Ahmed Hussain-Mohammad Hussain, Additional Director General of PIB Jaipur Ritu Shukla, Office Head of Doordarshan Centre Jaipur Satish Depal and Akashvani Programme Head Nilesh Kumar Kalbhor by lighting the lamp.
On this occasion, program head Nilesh Kumar Kalbhor, in his welcome address, welcomed the invited guests, artists, officials and the general public and highlighted the objective and purpose of the program.
The audience thoroughly enjoyed the melodious music based on Raga Bageshri by Sarangi player Momin Khan.
In the programme, renowned Rajasthani folk singer Seema Mishra, renowned singer Gaurav Jain and Ravindra Upadhyay along with accompanying artists enthralled the audience by presenting the patriotic anthem Mere Watan Ko Naman. Renowned Bhapang player Yusuf Khan Mewati and his companions mesmerized the audience with the tunes of Bhapang. In another presentation, the people present in the programme were enthralled with the folk songs presented in the melodious voice of singer Seema Mishra along with the Ghoomar dance of the fellow artists.
Songs and ghazals presented by singers Gaurav Jain and Ravindra Upadhyay captivated the audience. The Rashtra Aradhana presented in the program with the confluence of various musical instruments like sitar, sarangi, guitar, tabla, pakhavaj and dholak filled the people with the feeling of patriotism.
The programme was conducted by Akashvani Jaipur's announcer Rajkumari Karnani and broadcast executive Jitendra Verma. Akashvani Jaipur's Deputy Director (Engineering) M.C. Bansal expressed his gratitude.
