Gumla, 27 August (HS). Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar on Tuesday flagged off the PM Janman (Prime Minister Janjati Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan) awareness vehicle at Gumla Parishad. Also, launched the PVTG helpline under Mission Sarvodaya.
The Governor visited the ragi processing unit operating in Gumla's market committee premises Karaundi. There he interacted with the women of the self-help group and got information about the products made from ragi. He said that encouraging coarse grains and giving it a commercial form is a commendable initiative of the district administration. He said that now coarse grains will be known as healthy grains. The Governor encouraged the sisters and praised the products made from ragi. Also, on the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, coarse grains are making their mark not only in India but all over the world. Coarse grains are such a food grain, which is very important to be used as food. Ragi is also a very beneficial food grain for health and it is also providing a new opportunity of employment to the people. If this continues, it will give even more benefits in the coming time.
After this, the Governor visited Gumla Science Centre. Bicycles were also distributed among the students on behalf of the Governor. He also met the students who had gone to ISRO for educational tour from the district last year and this year at the Science Centre. He asked the students about their experiences. The Governor advised the students to get good education and study diligently and said that education plays an important role in building a better future. During this, he asked all the girls for advice on any changes that should be made in the field of education. He told the students that you can also directly contact the Raj Bhavan and inform us about your advice. It is our responsibility to improve the education system, we will take your suggestions seriously.
In the same sequence, the Governor also visited the Savitri Bai Phule Library in Gumla. He interacted with the girl students who had come there to study and motivated them. He said that he is very fond of the library. He praised the library built for women in the district. He said that the library works to increase knowledge. Coming here will always prove useful. By getting better education, one can work towards improving life and society. During this, the Governor also shared the struggles of his life with the students and said that struggles come in everyone's life. It is important to fight those struggles fearlessly and move oneself forward in a better direction. On this occasion, the Governor invited the girls to visit the Raj Bhavan.
While talking about the Prime Minister Ujjwala Yojana and Jal Jeevan Mission run by the Central Government, the Governor said that LPG is being distributed in every household so that the eyes of mothers and sisters do not get damaged because smoke emanates from the wood stove and there is a possibility of eyes getting damaged due to it.
