Jammu Kashmir Elections: BJP has announced its third list for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. In this list, names of 10 candidates for the second phase and 19 candidates for the third phase have been announced. BJP had earlier announced two lists. 15 candidates were announced in the first list and one name was announced in the second list.
It is worth noting that BJP had first released a list of 44 candidates. However, the list was cancelled due to heavy opposition from the workers. A controversy arose when the names of senior party leaders were not included in the first list. Seeing the displeasure, BJP cancelled the list.
It is worth noting that voting is to be held in three phases on 90 seats of Jammu and Kashmir. Voting will be held on 18 September, 25 September and 1 October. The results of all the seats will be declared on 4 October. Voting will be held on 24 seats in the first phase, 26 seats in the second phase and 40 seats in the third phase.
