The players will reach India tomorrow
The Afghanistan Cricket Board has announced a 20-member team for the only Test match against New Zealand. The board says that these players will get a place in the team on the basis of fitness and performance in the first match. The 20-member team announced by the board will reach Greater Noida tomorrow i.e. on 28 August. Where all the players will camp for a week before the match. In this camp, the fitness of the players and their performance will be evaluated.

Afghanistan Cricket Board chief selector Ahmed Shah Sulemankhel said that the players will be closely monitored during the camp and those who perform well will get a place in the final team. He also said that some young players have performed well in domestic cricket and it is a matter of pride for them to get a chance in this test match.
Rashid Khan out of the team
Afghanistan's star player Rashid Khan was injured recently. The Afghanistan Cricket Board has given him 3-4 weeks of rest. However, he played a match in the T20 league. The board said that he is not yet fully fit to play in the long format. Due to this, his full fitness is awaited. At present, the New Zealand team is very strong in Test cricket and the Afghanistan team is fully prepared to face this challenge.
