Get free insurance
The e-Shramik Card Yojana is an initiative of the Government of India, which aims to provide a digital identity card, called the e-Shramik Card, to unorganized workers. These workers include workers from various sectors such as construction, agriculture and manufacturing, who often work without job security or benefits.

Insurance up to Rs 2 lakh is available
Currently, workers registered on the e-Shram portal get insurance benefits of up to Rs 2 lakh under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY). In this, workers do not need to pay premium for insurance. An insurance amount of Rs 2 lakh is available in case of accidental death or complete disability of the e-Shramik card holder. Also, insurance of up to Rs 1 lakh is available in case of partial disability.
These documents will be needed
To register on the e-Shram site (SHRAM), your age should be between 16-59 years. Apart from this, there should be educational qualification (optional) and trade and skill related documents (optional). This portal was launched on 26 August 2021.

- Aadhaar Number
- Mobile number.
- The mobile number should be linked with the Aadhaar number

- Occupation and skill related documents (optional)
How to Register for E-Sharm Card
- Visit the official website of e-Shram at register.eshram.gov.in.
- Here on the main page click on Registration.
- After this you will have to enter your Aadhar linked mobile number.
- You will receive an OTP, on entering which the e-shram registration form will appear.
- Enter your personal details, qualification and bank details in the form.
- After this your registration will be completed.
