Bathinda: Leaders of the United Kisan Morcha (non-political) who were going to attend a big rally organized by farmers in Tamil Nadu regarding the demands of the farmers were stopped at the Delhi airport.
Senior leader of the non-political United Kisan Morcha and president of Bharatiya Kisan Union Sidhupur Jagjit Singh Dallewal, farmer leader Sukhdev Singh Bhojraj and Baldev Singh Sirsa wanted to go to Tamil Nadu by plane. When they reached Delhi airport to catch the flight, the airport authorities stopped them there.
Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal alleged that he was deliberately prevented from attending the farmers' rally in Tamil Nadu. He informed from Delhi airport that the rally was to discuss the guarantee of MSP on crops, the struggle for the future of farmers and important issues and also announce the next fierce struggles, considering that the central government deliberately did not allow him to attend this rally.
Farmer leaders said that officials at the airport harassed them for several hours and even cancelled their tickets.
Farmer leader Dallewal said that when he spoke to the airport officials with facts, they said that he cannot travel in the plane wearing Sri Sahib, which surprised him a lot. Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal also said that the leaders of the Sikh community, called Alambardar, have not done anything yet on the issue of carrying Sri Sahib in the plane, but are silent. He alleged that the Modi government has prevented him from going to the Kisan Rally in Tamil Nadu to fail the struggle of the farmers.
