Subhadra Yojana award money will be given in two installments of Rs 5000 each in a year. The installment will be deposited directly into the bank accounts of women on the occasion of Rakhi Purnima and Women's Day. Only women of Odisha will get the benefit of this scheme.

Who will get the benefit of Subhadra Yojana?
The BJP government of Odisha has announced 'Subhadra Yojana' for women empowerment. Under this scheme, more than 1 crore women between the ages of 21 and 60 will get Rs 10,000 every year. This amount of assistance will be given for the next five years.

Only those women who are financially weak will get the benefit of this scheme. Women doing government jobs and paying income tax will not come under the purview of this scheme. Also, if a woman takes benefit of Rs 15,000 or more annually from any other government scheme, then she will not be included in this scheme.

Approval has been received from the cabinet
The Subhadra scheme was approved in the Odisha Cabinet meeting held on 22 August 2024 under the chairmanship of the state Chief Minister Mohan Charan Manjhi. The cabinet has decided that the Subhadra scheme will be implemented from the current financial year 2024-25 to the financial year 2028-29. Women will also get 'Subhadra Debit Card' to promote digital transactions in rural and urban areas. Out of the beneficiaries of this scheme, 100 beneficiaries doing digital transactions will be identified and they will also be given an additional incentive of Rs 500.
