Mohali: A woman living in Azad Nagar of Balongi committed suicide by jumping from the third floor. The deceased woman has been identified as Pratigya who was married and had three children.
According to the information, on Sunday night, the woman had an argument with her husband over something, after which the quarrel between the two escalated and the woman jumped from the third floor in anger. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed outside a shop in front of the house. After the woman fell, people gathered and immediately took the woman to Civil Hospital Phase-6 where doctors declared her dead and kept the body in the mortuary of the civil hospital for post-mortem.
Let us tell you that the woman fell on her face due to which her jaw bone was badly broken. The CCTV camera of the shop in front of the house where the incident happened shows that when the woman fell, she stood upright again.
During the postmortem, it was found that the woman's jaw bone was badly broken. SHO Balongi Kulwant Singh said that information was received that the woman had jumped from the third floor. When the matter was investigated on reaching the spot, it was found that there was a fight between the husband and wife. The woman also has three small children. The body has been handed over to the family after the postmortem and action has been taken under Section 174.
