The team has been divided into two groups
ICC has formed 2 groups for this tournament. Group A includes India, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Group B includes South Africa, England, West Indies, Bangladesh and Scotland. According to the schedule, the first match of the World Cup will be played between Bangladesh and Scotland on October 3. Before this, all the teams will also be seen playing warm-up matches.
What is the format of the tournament?
A total of 23 matches will be played in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024. Each team will play 4-4 matches in the group stage. The top 2 teams from both the groups will enter the semi-finals. After this the final match will be played. The final match of the tournament will be played in Dubai on October 20. 'Reserve Day' has been kept for both the semi-finals and final of the tournament.
The match between India and Pakistan will be held on October 6
A match will be played between India and Pakistan on 6 October in the tournament. Team India will play this match on the ground of Dubai. Before this, Team India will start its campaign against New Zealand on 4 October. Team India will be seen playing a match against Sri Lanka on 9 October. India will play the fourth match of the group stage against Australia on 13 October. Team India's first warm-up match will be against West Indies and the second against South Africa.
