Indian Railways: Rail operations affected due to heavy rains, know how many trains affected | News India

Rain has wreaked havoc in Gujarat, due to which the life of the people has been disrupted. Apart from road transport, rail operations have also been affected due to heavy rains, due to which passengers are facing inconvenience. Due to heavy rains in Vadodara division of Western Railway, some trains will be affected due to excessive waterlogging at Bajwa station.

Trains are running on diverted routes

  1. Train No. 12479 Jodhpur-Bandra Terminus Suryanagari Express will run via the diverted route Chanderia-Ratlam-Godhra-Vadodara-Surat.
  2. Train No. 22473 Bikaner – Bandra Terminus Express will run via the diverted route Chanderia – Ratlam – Godhra – Vadodara – Surat.
  3. Train No. 20483 Bhagat Ki Kothi-Dadar Express will run via the diverted route Chanderia-Ratlam-Godhra-Vadodara-Surat.
  4. Train No. 19028 Jammu Tawi-Bandra Terminus Express will run via diverted route Chanderia-Ratlam-Godhra-Vadodara-Surat.
  5. Train No. 22497 Shri Ganganagar – Tiruchirapalli Express will run via the diverted route Chanderia-Ratlam-Godhra-Vadodara-Surat.
  6. Train No. 22664 Jodhpur – Chennai Egmore Express will run via the diverted route via Chanderia-Ratlam-Godhra-Vadodara-Surat.

Flood like situation in many districts

There are flood-like conditions in many districts of Gujarat. Ahmedabad was the most affected by the heavy rains on Monday. It has been raining here since 3 am. The city has received 6 inches of rain in the last 12 hours. Due to this, many areas of the city are flooded with water up to 7 feet. Due to heavy rains, Sardar Sarovar Narmada Dam of Gujarat is about to overflow. Due to which 3 gates of the dam were opened on Monday morning. An orange alert for heavy to very heavy rains has been issued in 23 districts including Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Valsad.
