BJP expressed disagreement on Kangana Ranaut's statement
The BJP Central Media Department issued a press statement on Monday (August 26). It said, “The statement made by BJP MP Kangana Ranaut in the context of the farmers' movement is not the opinion of the party. The Bharatiya Janata Party also disagrees with Kangana Ranaut's statement. Kangana has to speak on party policy issues on behalf of the party.” “Ranaut is neither allowed nor authorized to make any statement. The Bharatiya Janata Party has also instructed Kangana Ranaut not to make any such statement in future. We are committed to follow the principles of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Ardaas and social harmony.”
Congress demanded an apology from Kangana Ranaut for her statement. Along with this, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait said that no MP should make such a statement. They should focus on the development of their area.
Meanwhile, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha said, “Look at the BJP MP's thoughts towards the country's 'annadaataas' (food providers) – how much hatred they have in their hearts? If someone speaks, eats, wears, thinks and acts according to their own wish. They want robots as countrymen who have no mind of their own, and if they have, they are equally hateful.”
