Yamunanagar, 26 August (HS). A meeting of the fire department employees union was held at the fire station Jagadhari regarding not getting salary on time. On this occasion, fire state chief organizer Gulshan Bhardwaj, state organization secretary Santosh Kumar said in a joint statement that about 40 employees working in fire stations Gulab Nagar Manakpur, Chhachhrauli, Bilaspur, Sadhora under the fire station Jagadhari are doing duty without extension of service.
He said that it is the time of festivals. The employees have not received their salary for the month of July yet. Due to which it is becoming very difficult to run the household in such high inflation. He said that the fire department is an emergency department. The service extension of the employees has been increased on 9th August at all the fire stations of Haryana, but the employees are facing the brunt of the negligence of the district fire station officers. When both the fire station officers were talked to about this, they did not give any clear answer. Both the fire station officers were seen blaming each other. He told that the fire officer of Jagadhari is permanently working at Rohtak Fire Station. Apart from this, he also has the charge of Meham and Jagadhari fire stations. Due to this, the officers come to the fire station only occasionally. Due to this, the maintenance of the fire station and fire vehicles is also getting affected.
He said that a letter will soon be written by the union to the Director Fire Brigade to make permanent arrangements for a fire officer at the fire station to run the fire department smoothly. There is a lot of resentment and anger among the employees due to this negligence of the officers. If the Directorate Panchkula does not issue a letter of service extension to the employees soon, then the employees will call a big meeting of the employees of all the fire stations and sub-fire stations of the district next week and announce a big movement.
