BJP released its first list on Monday morning for the assembly elections to be held in Jammu and Kashmir after 10 years. The party has withdrawn this list within two hours. After the changes, the party will release a new list. This list includes the names of 44 candidates for three phases. Shagun Parihar has been given a ticket from Kishtwar. She was the only woman candidate in this list.

The majority figure for victory is 46. This is the first assembly election in Jammu and Kashmir after the removal of Article 370. A BJP meeting was held on August 25 regarding the Jammu and Kashmir elections. In the meeting, PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh discussed the names of the candidates.
According to sources, it has been decided in this meeting that PM Modi will hold one to two rallies in Kashmir, while PM Modi will hold 8 to 10 rallies in Jammu. Elections will be held in Jammu and Kashmir on 18 September, 25 September and 1 October. The results of the assembly elections will be declared on 4 October. Elections will be held on 24 seats in the first phase, 26 seats in the second phase and 40 seats in the third phase.
