On the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, special prayers are being offered in temples from Mathura in Uttar Pradesh to Dwarka in Gujarat. The programs of Lord Krishna's birth anniversary started with Mangala Aarti. Till late night, a large number of people are reaching the temples for darshan.

In Dwapar Yug, Lord Krishna appeared on the night of Ashtami of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapad month. This year also the constellations are being formed like Dwapar Yug. Shri Krishna's incarnation took place at night, so there is a tradition of celebrating Janmashtami at night. If we talk about temples, then apart from Lord Krishna's birthplace Mathura-Vrindavan, Janmashtami is also being celebrated with great pomp in major Krishna temples across the country.

Balkrishna will be anointed with Panchamrit at 12 noon at Birla Mandir in Mathura's Janmabhoomi. Along with this, the doors of Gujarat's Dwarkadhish temple will remain open till 2.30 am tonight. Mathura-Vrindavan became colorful on the birthday of Laddu Gopal. Mangala Aarti of Shri Krishna was performed at Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi at 5 am on Monday. With this, Janmashtami began.

The sanctum sanctorum has been decorated like a workshop. Laddu Gopal will be born at 12 midnight. There is a crowd of devotees outside Banke Bihari. As the evening approaches, the crowd of devotees will increase. It is being told that about 50 lakh devotees will reach Mathura in 3 days. More than 700 hotels and hostels are booked in the city.

CM Yogi also reached the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi site in the morning. He had darshan of Lord Krishna. Donated after worship. CM Yogi addressed the people in Mathura. He said- Today is the holy day of Krishna Janmashtami. According to the scriptures, 5251 years ago at this very place, Shri Krishna had incarnated on this earth as the son of Mata Devaki and Vasudev in his full incarnation and completed the task of establishing religion, truth and justice in Dwapar and gave Shrimad. Through the mantras of the Bhagavad Gita, we all get a new life.
