Karnataka Congress and BJP News: A Congress MLA in Karnataka has accused the BJP of running Operation Lotus. He said on Sunday that efforts are being made to lure Congress MLAs by offering them Rs 100 crore to destabilise the state government led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Congress MLA from Mandya Ravikumar Gowda has said that even though BJP is trying to destabilise the Congress government by luring Congress MLAs, no Congress MLA will accept their offer. The Congress government in the state is stable and strong.

Ravikumar Gowda has said that I am saying even today that BJP has increased the offer of Rs 50 crore to Rs 100 crore. Two days ago the first call came in which it was said that Rs 100 crore is ready. They want to buy 50 MLAs.

The BJP has gone from Rs 50 crore to Rs 100 crore. Earlier in October last year, Gowda had claimed that a team had offered Rs 50 crore and a ministerial post to Congress MLAs. He said four MLAs were contacted and proof is also available.

Gowda has accused BJP national general secretary (organisation) BL Santosh, Union ministers Shobha Karandlaje, Prahlad Joshi and HD Kumaraswamy (Janata Dal-Secular).

He said that these people are working as a group to destabilise the Congress government in the state. He said that the Congress government with 136 MLAs is as strong as a mountain.

The Congress MLA has said that these people have made a promise to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. They are moving ahead with the aim of breaking the government. BJP agents are contacting Congress MLAs daily.
