The statement said, 'We condemn the atrocities and genocide being committed by Israel on Palestinians. Such atrocities are against humanity and also a violation of international law. In such a situation, the central government is requested to stop the supply of weapons to Israel. As a nation, we always advocate humanity and cannot commit genocide like this.'
Citing the example of Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, it was said that we were among the countries that first recognised Palestine in 1988. In such a situation, it is our duty to protect the self-respect, sovereignty and independence of Palestine. We stand with Palestine in this difficult time. It is our duty to find a way to peace.
