Gwalior, 25 August (HS). Social Justice and Horticulture Minister Narayan Singh Kushwaha attended the program organized on the occasion of Lord Balram Jayanti on Sunday. Under the aegis of Dharnidhar Kirar Mahasabha, the Kirar community celebrated the birth anniversary of their deity Lord Balram with great pomp at the famous place Gupteshwar Mahadev Temple. The program was presided over by former GDA Chairman Ravindra Singh Rajput. On this occasion, Backward Class Commission member Mansingh Rajput and Municipal Corporation Mayor Dr. Shobha Sikarwar were present.
On this occasion, Minister Kushwaha said that such programs increase social unity and mutual harmony. Along with this, the coming generation also gets information about the history of the society. Honoring the talents of the society through such events also encourages other people to move forward. On this occasion, advanced farmers, senior social workers, lawyers, doctors, teachers and journalists were also honored by the committee. Addressing the program, Mayor Shobha Sikarwar congratulated and wished the society.
The program started with lighting a lamp and offering flowers in front of the picture of Lord Balram. After this, the guests were welcomed following the tradition of 'Atithi Devo Bhava'.
