Ferozepur : The district police on Saturday arrested five members of a robber gang who were planning to rob a petrol pump at the cremation ground of Wariyam Singh Wala village and recovered nine bikes, seven mobile phones, two caps, a baseball bat and a spear from them. SSP Saumya Mishra said that special teams have been formed by the police to take action against the anti-social accused.
Police received information during patrolling
On Saturday, Sub-Inspector Sahib Singh of CIA Staff Ferozepur was patrolling with the police party when he received information that the alleged accused were committing robbery in a group and were moving around on motorcycles armed with weapons and were planning to rob a petrol pump near the cremation ground of village Waryam Singh Wala.
Many cases have already been registered against the accused
Based on the information, the police conducted a raid and arrested the accused Rohit alias Rohi, Karan, Sandeep resident of Norangkewali, Karan alias Ninja resident of village Ichhewala, Samarpreet Singh resident of 109 Church Road Ferozepur and recovered 9 motorcycles, seven mobile phones, two caps from them. A baseball and a splitter were recovered from them. He told that several cases are registered against the accused arrested by the police.
