Bathinda: A case of a person committing suicide due to a false case has come to light in Gurusar Mehraj village of the district. The said person had swallowed some poisonous substance on August 13. The victim's family admitted him to AIIMS Bathinda. Where he died during treatment.
On the complaint of the deceased's father, the police have registered a case against 9 people for forcing him to commit suicide and have arrested one person, while the search for others is on. In a complaint to the police, Gurjant Singh, a resident of Gurusar Mehraj village, said that his 30-year-old son Hardeep Singh was working in Veterinary College Rampura.
In the year 2023, Sandeep Singh was beaten and injured by some unknown people. After which the alleged accused Sandeep Singh filed a false case of assault against his son Hardeep Singh. Due to which his son lost his job and he started getting mentally disturbed.
Due to this problem, on 13th August, his son swallowed poisonous medicine at home, due to which his condition became critical and he was admitted to Bathinda AIIMS for treatment. Where he died on 23rd August during treatment.
ASI Akshay Kumar, who is investigating the case, said that on the complaint of the deceased youth's father, the accused Sandeep Singh, Jaspal Singh, Gurbinder Singh, Lovepreet Singh, Ravinder Singh, Gurdeep Singh, Gurjinder Singh, Ravel Singh and Babi have been arrested. A case of abetting suicide has been registered against Singh resident of village Gurusar Mehraj, while accused Sandeep Singh has been arrested.
