Jind, August 25 (HS). Last night, unknown people overpowered the guard of ATC tower in village Lohchab Khet at gunpoint and looted 48 batteries and the guard's mobile phone from there. After committing the crime, the accused locked the guard in the cabin and fled. On the complaint of the company's security supervisor, Sadar police station has registered a case against unknown people under various Indian judicial codes including robbery and Arms Act and started investigation.
Pradeep, a resident of village Aleva and security supervisor of ATS company, told the police in his complaint that the company has installed a tower in the fields of village Lohchab. Satish works as a security guard on it at night. On Saturday night, unknown people overpowered the security guard Satish at gunpoint. They snatched the guard's mobile phone and looted 48 batteries from there. After which the accused locked the guard Satish in the cabin and fled. The incident came to light when the tower stopped working. The perpetrators of the crime were captured in the CCTV cameras installed there. The cost of the looted batteries is Rs. 1.75 lakh. Vinod Kumar, investigation officer of Sadar police station, said that on the complaint of the tower security supervisor, the police have registered a case against unknown people under various sections including robbery and Arms Act and started investigation.
