5 Delhi AAP councillors join BJP : Currently, Delhi Chief Minister is in jail in the liquor policy case, while the assembly elections are to be held in the capital next year, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has suffered a major setback before that. According to reports, five councilors of AAP have joined BJP. Five councilors have joined BJP in the presence of Delhi BJP leaders. During this, many leaders including Virendra Sachdeva, Ramveer Bhidhuri were present.

Five councillors joined BJP

  1. Ram Chandra – Councillor of Ward No. 28
  2. Pawan Sahrawat- Councillor of Ward No. 30
  3. Manju Nirmal – Councillor of Ward No. 180
  4. Sugandha Bidhuri- Councillor of Ward No. 178
  5. Mamta Pawan- Councillor of Ward No. 177

As soon as the councillors left, AAP blamed BJP

Aam Aadmi Party has given a statement on five councillors leaving the party and joining BJP. AAP spokesperson has alleged that BJP pressurized the councillors and forced them to change the party by threatening them. Calling this matter a conspiracy against democracy, BJP cannot influence the voters of Delhi by playing such games.
