Nari Hira, producer of more than half a dozen films, including Urmila Matondkar's acclaimed film 'Scandal' and publisher of the film magazine of her time 'Stardust', has passed away in Mumbai.

Born on 26 January 1938, Nari Hira died on Friday at the age of 86. This name also became known in the film industry for introducing the tradition of releasing films directly on DVD. She released about a dozen films directly on video under the banner of 'Hiba Films'. Born in Karachi in 1938, Nari Hira and her family moved to Mumbai after the partition in 1947.

He started his career as a journalist in the early 1960s. Then began publishing. His magazine Stardom was very successful. Sometimes Stardust also faced legal troubles due to Bollywood gossip, sensational reports, etc. The magazine had to face defamation suits filed by many famous actors including Amitabh, Shahrukh, Salman.
