SIT has filed a chargesheet against JDS leader and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda's grandson Prajwal Revanna. SIT has filed a chargesheet against former MP Prajwal Revanna in the rape case. Along with Prajwal, SIT has also filed a chargesheet against his father and MLA HD Revanna in the sexual harassment case. According to the information, SIT is investigating four cases against Prajwal. More than 2,000 pages of charges have been filed in the investigation based on the statements of about 150 witnesses.
The chargesheet filed by the SIT in the special court also includes allegations related to the alleged sexual abuse of the Revanna family's domestic help. The chargesheet includes inspection of the crime scene, biological, physical, scientific, mobile, digital and other evidence. SIT sources have said that the opinion of experts has also been taken before filing the chargesheet.
Who is Prajwal Revanna?
Prajwal is the grandson of former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) chief HD Deve Gowda and nephew of former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy. Prajwal's father HD Revanna is the former Public Works Minister of the state and MP from Bengaluru. Prajwal has graduated in mechanical engineering. He has also gone to Australia for studies. He has been with JDS for the last decade. Revanna has also won the Lok Sabha elections from Hassan in 2019.
These verses are against father and son
Father HD Revanna has been charged under Sections 354 and 354 (A) of the Indian Penal Code, while Prajwal has been charged under Sections 376, 376 (2) (K), 354, 354 (A) and 354 (B). Charged under the Indian Penal Code, the maid working at their house has filed a complaint against both of them. It is being told that the victim is also their distant relative. She alleges that she was sexually assaulted several times.

Before the second phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, many such obscene videos of Prajwal surfaced on social media. In this video, Prajwal was seen sexually abusing many women. After this matter came to light, anger spread among the people.
The Karnataka State Women's Commission has demanded an investigation into the entire matter. A letter was written to the Congress government in this regard. After which the government ordered an investigation into the matter.
