The interstate coordination meeting chaired by Home Minister Amit Shah has begun in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. This meeting is being held to end the Naxal problem and rebuild the Naxal-affected areas. Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Vishnu Dev Sahay, Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Vijay Sharma, Chief Secretaries, Inspector Generals of Police and senior officials of seven states are present in this meeting.
Apart from Chhattisgarh, Chief Secretaries, DGPs and officers of Orissa, Jharkhand, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra are participating in this meeting. In the inter-state coordination meeting, strategies to stop Maoist activities and conduct joint operations in Maoist-affected areas are being discussed.

The main agenda of this meeting is to completely control the movement of Naxalites from one state to another in Naxal-affected states. During this meeting, these seven states will explain the strategy of their respective states and will work on sharing information.
These districts of Chhattisgarh are most affected by Naxalism
Out of the total 38 districts of the country, 15 districts of Chhattisgarh are Naxal-affected. These include Bijapur, Bastar, Dantewada, Dhamtari, Gariaband, Kanker, Kondagaon, Mahasamund, Narayanpur, Rajnandgaon, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagadh Chowki, Khairagarh Chhui Khand Gandai, Sukma, Kabirdham and Mungeli districts. Let us tell you that Chhattisgarh is the most Naxal-affected district in the country. During the tour before the Chhattisgarh Assembly Elections 2023, Amit Shah had said that the first task after the formation of the government in the state would be to end Naxalism.
