Mumbai – Crimes against girls and women are constantly increasing in Maharashtra. Now in this regard, a case has been registered against the manager of the ashram at Bhoiwada police station in Bhiwandi, as the manager of the ashram allegedly raped a two and a half year old girl in an ashram in Bhiwandi. The police took this action after the girl's grandmother complained to the police.
According to more information in this regard, this two and a half year old girl lived in a private ashram in Bhiwandi of Thane district. The girl was kept in this ashram because her parents were making a living by begging.
When the girl's grandmother recently visited her at the ashram, she noticed that she had allegedly been branded on her stomach, back, behind her ears and near her eyes. The grandmother was shocked to see the child's condition. After this incident, the girl's grandmother lodged a complaint with Bhoiwada police in Bhiwandi against the ashram's manager Datta Gausmuddhe. Based on the grandmother's complaint, the Bhoiwada police first sent the girl to a government hospital for examination where doctors confirmed that the girl had been branded with a hot object.
The Bhoiwada police on Thursday registered a case under Section 118 (1) of the Indian Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt and various sections of the Juvenile Justice Act. Senior police inspector Ajay Afle said a case has been registered and further action is being taken.
