New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation on Friday informed a Delhi court that it has received permission to prosecute Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and AAP MLA Durgesh Pathak in a corruption case related to the alleged liquor scam. The plea was placed before Special Judge Kaveri Baveja, who posted the matter for hearing on August 27.
Kejriwal's judicial custody in this case is ending on August 27. On August 12, the court had given 15 days to the CBI to obtain the necessary sanction to prosecute Kejriwal and Pathak in the case. The CBI has already got permission to investigate this case.
