Dholpur, 23 August (HS). The birth anniversary of Yogeshwar Lord Krishna, Janmashtami, will be celebrated with devotion and gaiety on 26 August. On the occasion of Janmashtami festival, other programs including bhajans, sankirtans, chhappan bhogs, flower bungalow tableaus and bhajan evenings will be organized at Krishna temples in Dholpur district. Temples are being decorated for Shri Krishna Janmashtami festival and other preparations are in their final stages.
The celebrations of Shri Krishna Janmashtami festival started today at the ancient Ladli Jagmohan temple situated at Tirtharaj Machkund Sarovar in Dholpur. On the first day of the celebrations on Shri Krishna Janmashtami festival, Ladli Jagmohan Ji was anointed with 51 kg of milk. On the second day, Sahasrachand Shringar will be organized on August 24, special decoration on August 25, 56 bhogs and Phool Bangla on August 26 and Nandotsav will be organized on August 27.
On the occasion of Janmashtami festival, Ladli Jagmohan Ju will be specially adorned with stone studded dress prepared in Vrindavan Dham.
Mahant Krishnadas of the temple said that this time Ladli Jagmohan will be adorned with a special dress studded with stones and costing Rs. 1.25 lakhs. This special dress is being made in Vrindavan Dham for about two months. The artisans of Tanmay Shringar Bhandaar are busy giving it final touches. The Lord's crown, armlets, waist belt, earrings, necklace, Kathkadhidi, pyjamia have been specially prepared in the dress.
On the day of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Abhishek of Lord Krishna with Panchamrit will start from 9 pm. It will continue till the birth of Lord Krishna at 12 midnight. After this, Panchamrit and Prasad will be distributed to the people. Bhajan Sandhya will also be organized from 6 pm in the evening. In which Gwalior's Bhajan singer Kishori Radhe will present bhajans in her sweet voice.
On the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami festival, special events will be organized at the princely era Radha Bihari temple of Dholpur, Lord Nrisinh temple at Deorhi, Mahamaya temple of Dhulkot, Girraj temple located in the court premises, ancient Chopra Mahadev temple and Nihleshwar temple and other temples and tableaus of the form of Lord Shri Krishna will be decorated.
