Korba/Janjgir-Champa, 23 August (HS). On the instructions of Collector Akash Chikkara, District Panchayat CEO Gokul Raote reviewed the works of Panchayat and Rural Development Department in the District Panchayat hall on Friday. He inquired about the works approved block-wise during the financial year. After taking information about the pending works, he instructed to prepare a better action plan and implement it and complete the incomplete works soon. Assistant Collector Durga Prasad Adhikari was present in the meeting.
During this period, the District Panchayat CEO did a detailed review of ambitious schemes related to the department such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna, Swachh Bharat Mission, Mahatma Gandhi NREGA and National Rural Livelihood Mission, tree plantation and other schemes. The District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer first of all informed about the progress of the district against the target received from the state in the departmental schemes. He said that by preparing an action plan for PM Awas, the houses should be completed soon. They were asked to prepare cases of those beneficiaries who are being negligent in housing construction. A target has been set for creating man days under Mahatma Gandhi NREGA Yojna. According to that, employment should be provided to maximum number of workers.
District Panchayat CEO said that all the schemes of the government are important for the development of the areas. Ensuring the proper implementation of these schemes should be our priority. He stressed that the benefits of these schemes should reach the public on time and in the right manner. Families should be benefited from all major schemes including basic facilities under all schemes. He instructed to complete the works approved in rural areas expeditiously. He instructed to work towards making women Lakhpati Didi under Rural Livelihood Mission. Apart from this, he talked about making solid and liquid waste management, plastic waste management employment oriented action plan under SBM. Deputy Director Panchayat Shri Abhimanyu Sahu, Sarva Janpad CEO, Program Officer MNREGA, Block Coordinator SBM, PMAY, Technical Assistant and other related officers and employees were present in the meeting.
