Korba/Janjgir-Champa, 23 August (HS). Under the guidance of Collector Akash Chikkara, a block level livelihood loan fair was organized in village Taraud under Akaltara development block on Friday under Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana Rashtriya Gramin Ajeevika Mission Bihaan. Collector Chikkara told the women that business creates employment and also provides employment to others, start livelihood activities from business and give employment to others as well and also take advantage of the public welfare schemes of the government. He said that by joining Bihaan, women have become empowered and society is also becoming stronger. Therefore, start your own business by taking livelihood loan and move forward.
During this, the collector informed about 10 efforts being made under the government schemes in the district, namely Swasth Janjgir-Champa, PM Kisan, Utkrisht Janjgir-Champa, Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Maternity Women Assistance Scheme, Ayushman Card Scheme, PM Vishwakarma. Information about schemes related to education and health was also given to the citizens present. District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Gokul Raote said that livelihood loans are being made available immediately to the women of self-help groups in the district to start livelihood activities. With this, the women of the group are becoming financially empowered and self-reliant. If any business is being done earlier, then it can be expanded by taking livelihood loan. A loan amount of more than Rs 17 crore one lakh was sanctioned in the district level livelihood loan fair. The guests distributed a copy of the loan approval order to the beneficiaries in the livelihood loan fair.
Through the livelihood loan fair, increase in credit linkage to self-help groups, expansion of loan distribution area in priority sector by the bank, awareness towards government self-employment loan schemes, expansion of the area of Mudra Yojana, awareness and expansion towards Swayam Siddha Yojana, facility of new bank accounts and Aadhaar registration, financial literacy of villagers and awareness towards prevention of cyber fraud and other banking related problems were resolved. During this, the women of Bihan group gave information about the benefits of livelihood activities being done by joining Bihan through Meri Kahani Meri Zubani and their work was appreciated by the Collector. On this occasion, officials of various banks including District Panchayat Lead Bank Nodal Officer, officers-employees and citizens, women of self-help groups, villagers were present.
