Every year, on the festival of Janmashtami, a crowd of devotees gathers in Mathura city. This time, the Thakur Bankebihari temple management located in Vrindavan, Mathura has made a big appeal to the devotees. The management has said that on the occasion of Janmashtami, devotees should not bring small children, elderly, handicapped and sick people to the temple and avoid being a part of the crowd. Let us tell you that Janmashtami will be celebrated in Banke Bihari temple on the night of 27 August.

What did the temple management say?

Bank Bihari temple management has asked people to assess the crowd before coming to Vrindavan and if the crowd is too much then it would be better to plan the trip on some other occasion. The temple management has given the reason for this that many times elderly devotees and especially women face health problems due to fasting in summer and not taking necessary medicines. The temple management has also said that one should come to the temple only after taking proper medicine and medical benefits.

this incident happened earlier

Two years ago, there was a huge crowd at the Bihari Ji temple in Mathura during the Mangala Aarti held at the third quarter of the night. Due to this, two female devotees died due to difficulty in breathing. Last Sunday also, an elderly devotee died of suffocation while leaving the temple.

Appeal not to come wearing slippers

The manager of Banke Bihari temple has said that the entry and exit gates of the temple are different. In such a situation, devotees have been requested not to come wearing shoes and slippers. This is because it will not be possible to reach there again to get shoes and slippers. Janmashtami is on 26 August at many places including Shri Krishna Janmasthan in Mathura, while Janmashtami is on the night of 27 August at Banke Bihari temple.
