Case of bribery by police in Bareilly: In Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, an inspector took bribe to release opium smugglers. When SSP Anurag Aryan came to know about this, he sent CO and ASP but when Inspector Ramsevak came to know about this, he jumped over the wall of the police station and ran away. This case is from Faridpur, Bareilly. Cash worth Rs 9 lakh has been recovered from the inspector's room. At present, efforts are being made to arrest him.
According to the SSP, personal information was received that Faridpur Inspector Ramsevak caught two suspects in the NDPS case and fled with Rs 7 lakh. The officer immediately reached Bareilly Police Station to investigate him. Inspector Ramsevak disappeared from the police station. When his room was searched, Rs 9 lakh 96 thousand in cash was found.
It has been told in the investigation that at night Mohd. Islam brought Sher Mohammad to the police station. He was released after taking Rs 7 lakh. A case has been registered against the concerned officer. The accused inspector has been suspended. Efforts are on to arrest him. The police will soon arrest him and take further action.
As soon as the information was received, the officers raided the inspector's residence. On the other hand, the inspector ran away after hearing the sound of the siren.
