Heavy rains in Tripura have caused flooding of rivers and landslides. 10 people have died and one person is missing. Relief and rescue operations have been carried out by the authorities.
32,750 people have been displaced due to the floods, who have been taken to 330 relief camps. Four teams of NDRF have started rescue and relief work. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has spoken to Tripura CM Saha and assured all possible help. A decision has been taken to close all schools in the state. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in 19 states of the country including North and East India.
1900 Roads damaged after a landslide at this site
Due to landslides, roads have been damaged at 1,900 places in the state, due to which vehicular traffic has been badly affected. Thousands of people have lost their lives due to waterlogging and floods at many places. Red alert has been declared in West Tripura and Sipahijala districts. The government has appealed to the people not to go out without any work.
80 villages in 10 districts of Uttar Pradesh have been affected by floods
Ganga and Ghaghra rivers have turned black in Uttar Pradesh. The water in the rivers has crossed the alarming level. Due to this, flood water has entered 80 villages in 10 districts. 7 people have died in the state in the last 24 hours. More than 2 inches of rain fell in Jaipur, Bharatpur, Kota, Ajmer and Udaipur districts of Rajasthan.
