Chatra, 22 August (HS). Vice President of Jharkhand State Minority Commission Shamsher Alam reached Chatra on Thursday. On Alam's arrival, Deputy Commissioner Ramesh Gholap welcomed him by presenting a plant. After this, a public hearing program was organized and the problems related to minorities were heard. At the same time, in the Collectorate Assembly Hall, under the chairmanship of Vice President (Minister of State with rank), Jharkhand State Minority Commission Shamsher Alam, various schemes being run by the Central and State Government for the development of minorities were reviewed pointwise. In this, mainly detailed information was taken about Chief Minister Employment Creation Scheme, Graveyard Fencing, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Abua Awas Yojana, hostels for minorities, schools, madrasas, recruitment of Urdu teachers, health centers and others.

It was also told that there are two madrasas in Chatra district, in which the sanctioned strength of teachers is 12. Out of these, 01 is working and 11 are vacant. The working teacher has been paid salary till July 2024. District Welfare Officer Alka Kumari said that in the year 2022-23, a total of six beneficiaries have been benefited from the Chief Minister Employment Creation Scheme. She took information about the execution of the applications received for 2023-24 and 2024-25.

Similarly, after reviewing the cycle distribution scheme, scholarship distribution scheme, minority graveyard fencing, Chief Minister Health Scheme, he said that whatever previous schemes are pending or in progress should be completed 100% as soon as possible. This will make the scheme visible on the ground. He further said that during the public hearing, it was learnt that there are no health centres for minorities in minority dominated areas. The civil surgeon should ensure the arrangement for Chatra Health Centre by taking legal action.
