Former Miss India contestant Rinke Chakma: Former Miss India Rinke Chakma, who was diagnosed with cancer two years ago, has passed away, the Miss India organization shared a post condoling.
Last month, Rinki had shared the information about having cancer on Instagram. I had not shared this information with anyone but now the time has come to tell.
Cancer first appeared in the lungs. After this it affected the mind. The cancer has already taken over my body and I will have to undergo surgery on my head.
Giving information about the health problem after the first surgery, Rinki said that the doctor had told me that I can survive only after chemotherapy, the chances of survival from which are only 30 percent.
Rinki Chakma won the title of “Beauty with a Purpose” at the Miss India pageant in 2017. “Our heartfelt condolences to her family and friends during this difficult time and may Rinki's soul rest in peace, your legacy of purpose and beauty will always be remembered,” Miss India Organization wrote in its post.
