Amritsar Airport Bomb News: A shocking revelation has been made in the case of bomb threat on Indigo Airlines flight at Sri Guru Ramdas International Airport Rajasansi, Amritsar. Police has also arrested the second accused in this case. The arrested accused is an employee of Punjab Police.
On August 16, the police had arrested an accused Gurdev Singh from Ferozepur for threatening to bomb an Indigo flight at the airport and demanding a ransom of Rs 1 crore, in which the names of him and his associates were revealed.
The arrested accused has been identified as Vikramjit Singh alias Vicky, a rank four employee in Punjab Police. According to the police, the accused had hatched a conspiracy to become rich quickly.
Police of Thana Airport have arrested four employees of Punjab Police namely Vikramjit Singh alias Vicky from Police Line Ferozepur. So far two people have been arrested in this case. Police is continuing raids to arrest more people.
Indigo Airlines Assistant Manager Security Shubham Kapoor told the police that his airlines had received an email. The email received on August 14 said that a bomb would be dropped on the Indigo Airlines plane at the airport.
The mail said that bombs have been placed at different places in the airport. If he is not given Rs 1 crore, he will explode the bomb. Earlier, the airline had investigated the matter at its own level. Later, a written complaint was given to the police on 16 August. The airport police have registered a case.
