Warsaw, 22 August (HS). Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a state visit to Poland. Today is the last leg of his two-day visit. He first reached the Monte Cassino War Memorial in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. Prime Minister Modi paid tribute at the memorial of the Battle of Monte Cassino. He said that India will always remember the bravery of the soldiers who fought in the World War.

The Indian community members were eager to get a glimpse of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. The Prime Minister met people and also interacted with children. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shared memorable moments of Poland on his X handle. Prime Minister Modi reached Poland yesterday evening as per Indian time. As soon as he reached Polish soil, he said that this visit will give impetus to India-Poland friendship and will benefit the people of both countries.

On PM Modi's visit to Poland, India's Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in a video statement in New Delhi on Wednesday that the Prime Minister will visit three monuments, paying homage at the Maharaja Memorial. The history behind these monuments connects Poland and India in a very special way. The next day there are bilateral meetings with Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk. He will also meet Poland's President Andrzej Duda. After that he will meet Poland's business leaders to strengthen India-Poland trade relations. The Prime Minister will also meet Indologists and some Kabaddi players.
