New Delhi, 21 August (HS). Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Central Joint General Secretary Dr. Surendra Jain said on Wednesday that in the year 1992, hundreds of Hindu girls were exploited and brutally gangraped by “Khadims” and former Congress leader Nafees Chishti in Ajmer. 32 years after this horrific incident, the POCSO court in Ajmer has given a historic verdict in this case by convicting Nafees Chishti, Naseem alias Tarzan, Salim Chishti, Suhail Ghani, and Syed Jameem Hussain. Dr. Surendra Jain said that VHP welcomes this historic decision in the Ajmer rape case and demands that considering the seriousness of the case, all the culprits should be hanged instead of just imprisoned.

Surendra Jain further said that it is unfortunate that more than a hundred victim girls had to wait for 32 years facing many obstacles to seek justice. This journey of justice took many turns in various courts (High Court, Fast Track Court, Supreme Court, and POCSO Court), but ultimately truth prevailed, and the cruel atrocities committed against our Hindu daughters were punished, but it is still incomplete. Hanging is necessary.

Dr Jain said that now the time has come that the dark history of Ajmer Dargah Sharif should also come out in the open. It is important to mention here that Salman Chishti was also only following the Shariat and the teachings of his guru Moinuddin Chishti, at whose dargah he worked as a 'Khadim'. He committed many atrocities against Hindus and demolished various Hindu temples which were symbols of religion for Hindus. It is also an established fact that many rapists have also been Congress officials. Jihadis and Congress have a very close relationship.

He also said that Ajmer Dargah Sharif is a symbol of brutal murders and atrocities on Hindus. He also stressed that VHP has appealed to Hindus from time to time not to visit Dargah Sharif because their money is being used by the Khadims for illegal purposes and the Ajmer rape case is a clear example of this. It is also worth remembering here that a Chishti there had even talked about economic boycott of Hindus.

It is no secret that the Khadim family has been mired in controversies in the past as well. We should not forget that after the brutal murder of Hindu tailor Kanhaiya Lal, Ajmer Dargah Khadim Gauhar Chishti met Riyaz Attari, one of the accused in the incident. It is also significant that Sarwar Chishti of the Ajmer Dargah's Anjuman Committee made fiery statements inciting violence and threatening to “shake up” the entire country.

According to reports, Sarwar Chishti had called himself a member of a banned organisation (Popular Front of India) and called for an economic boycott of Hindus from Ajmer Dargah. Continuing the hatred towards Hindus, Sarwar Chishti's sons Syed Ali Chishti and Adil Chishti insulted Hindu deities and Gauhar Chishti threatened Hindus by chanting the slogan “Sir Tan Se Juda”. We should also not forget that Chishti, secretary of Anjuman Syed Zadgan, an organisation of khadims of Ajmer Sharif Dargah, used abusive language against our daughters.

Dr. Jain said that VHP has been alerting the country from time to time about the atrocities and oppression being done on Hindus, whether it is on the land of India or abroad. The punishment of the six culprits who have been convicted for this heinous crime against our Hindu daughters is a ray of hope and we hope that the culprits will not only get imprisonment but death penalty. VHP welcomes this decision of the POCSO court and stands strongly with the victim families.
