East Champaran, March 03 (HS). Darpa police has arrested a pickup driver with stolen electrical wires in Darpa police station area of the district. According to the information received, the arrested pickup driver was carrying 48 bundles of stolen wires on his pickup. Meanwhile, Darpa police station incharge Umashankar Manjhi caught him while patrolling on Dubaha Canal Road.
Giving information today, Raxaul DSP Dhirendra Kumar said that there were continuous complaints of theft of electric wires in the area. After which all the police stations were asked to monitor it. The arrested driver is Mainul Haq alias Munna of Koilwar, Bhojpur. During interrogation, he told that he had committed such an incident once more. He has also given the names of many people involved in this business. The police is conducting raids keeping it confidential.
