Jamshedpur, 21 August (HS). Political activities have intensified regarding the upcoming assembly elections in Jharkhand. All the parties have started preparing and selecting candidates at their own level. Now JDU, an ally in the NDA alliance, has announced that former minister Saryu Rai will be the NDA candidate from Jamshedpur East.
Bihar government minister and Jharkhand JDU in-charge Ashok Chaudhary was addressing the JDU Milan Samaroh at Michael John Auditorium in Jamshedpur on Wednesday. He said that in the upcoming Jharkhand assembly elections, Saryu Rai will be the NDA candidate from Jamshedpur East Assembly constituency. JDU workers have resolved to win with double the number of votes that Saryu Rai had won as an independent in the last assembly elections.
When Minister Ashok Chaudhary was asked how many seats JDU will contest in the Jharkhand Assembly elections, he said that the elections will be fought under the banner of NDA. It will be decided when the time comes on how many seats the elections will be fought. He said that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has made a special request to include Saryu Rai in JDU. Ashok Chaudhary said that in this assembly election, the flag of NDA will fly all over Jharkhand. Taking a jibe at JMM and Congress, he said that only those who are weak sing the tune of insiders and outsiders. But this time in the elections it will be clear who is insider and who is outsider.
