Ranchi, 21 August (HS). An important meeting was held at the Congress headquarters on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi. In this meeting, many serious issues including the Adani mega scam, nationwide caste census and the need for real respect of the provisions of economic, social and political justice contained in the Constitution of India were discussed in detail.
The Indian National Congress has repeatedly called for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) to investigate the Adani mega scam, which was first exposed by the Hindenburg Report. Recent revelations have further exposed the serious compromises of the financial market regulator SEBI, which requires immediate action. Every day, more revelations are coming to light on this important issue, underlining the gravity of the situation.
It was decided in the meeting that the Pradesh Congress Committees will organize massive protests in front of Enforcement Directorate (ED) offices across the country on Thursday, 22 August. They will also demand accountability from the Central Government.
After this, State Congress President Keshav Mahato Kamlesh has given directions to organise a protest programme in front of the office of Hindu Status Enforcement Directorate on 22nd August.
