Honda Accord Car: By now you must have read and heard about technical faults in cars many times. After which people keep demanding from car companies to replace or repair parts, but recently a case has come up which has surprised everyone. Arun Ghosh, an Indian living in Canada, has a Honda Accord sedan car and now the odometer of his car is not working, for which he has made a special demand from the car company.
Ghosh has completed a journey of 9,99,999 km in his car and now his odometer is not showing further numbers. Frustrated by this, Ghosh has demanded a special odometer from the car company. Ghosh is demanding a customized 7-digit odometer from Honda so that he can keep the driving record of his favorite car in future.
According to reports, Ghosh, originally from Kerala, moved to Canada in 2017. Where he bought his dream car Honda Accord. He is very fond of car driving. When his car completed a journey of 5 lakh km, a friend of his inspired him to complete a journey of 10 lakh km. On July 30, 2024, when his car was 100 km away from completing 10 lakh km, he was very happy.
After which he went on a drive with his friend to complete the target of 1 million kilometers but at the end of the journey the odometer of the car stopped at 9,99,999 kilometers as it did not have any mechanism to display 7 digits. In his statement to the media, Ghosh says that 'he expected his car to show 10,00,000 km on the odometer, but this could not happen as the odometer was in the 7 digit range.'
The dealership is also annoying
Ghosh has contacted his local Honda dealership to get a customised odometer installed in the car. Shamil Becharbhai, director of the Honda dealership in St. Catharines, Ontario, was shocked to see the odometer on the car. Shamil said that in his 20 years of business, he had never seen a car that had travelled such a long distance. Earlier, the longest running car in his knowledge had travelled about 550,000 km.' Currently, the dealership is also working on finding a solution to Ghosh's problem.
