Houston (Texas): Recently a 90 feet tall statue of Lord Hanuman was unveiled in Houston. Along with this, the ritual of Prana Pratishtha was also performed. This statue is also called the statue of union, because Hanumanji reunited Lord Shri Ram with Sita-Mata. That is why it is also called the Statue of Union.
The statue was unveiled near the Ashtalakshmi temple in Sugar Land, Texas. The reason for building this statue near the Ashtalakshmi temple is that Lord Shri Ram is considered to be the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. While Sita Mata is considered to be the incarnation of Lakshmi Mata.
The inspiration to create this statue was given by spiritual guru Swami Chinnajiyar. He also inspired the Statue of Equality in Hyderabad, India.
